Rising beyond his role as the frontman of the wildly successful 1200 Techniques. The ARIA-winning 1200 Techniques sold over 50,000 albums and captivated audiences with their edgy, raw performances at every major music festival in the nation. Through it all, N’fa penned the charting singles “Hard As Hell”, “Where You At”, “Fork In The Road” and the monster hit “Karma”, which peaked at number four on Triple J’s Hottest 100. Now, with 1200 Techniques taking a well-deserved break, N’fa has channelled his unique talents into his debut solo album Cause An Effect. Evolving and adding to the proven success of his unique hip-hop formula, Cause An Effect takes the listener on a journey of light and shade as it presents hook-laden anthems alongside smooth, reclining rhythms. Support comes from London Buzz band The Saudies.

In Flagranti

IN FLAGRANTI – EXEXEX – CODEK from in flagranti on Vimeo.

Crack Magazine are chuffed to be joining forces with the quite excellent Club Cosmique for a full blown disco affair on Friday July 9th, headlined by In Flagranti, whose rash mix of dub, disco and italo-house is a rather tasty delight.
Check out the short video above for Ex Ex Ex, which was released on his label Codek earlier this year and came along with remixes from some mighty big names.

The Glitch Mob

July 3, 2010 (10:00 pm - 3:00 am)

Glitch Mob from Justin Nizer on Vimeo.

The Glitch Mob is a four man musical collaboration with roots from San Francisco and Los Angeles. What initially started as a joke soon stuck as edIT, Boreta, Kraddy and Ooah found themselves playing the same shows and eventually tag teaming. This eventually led to the four man sonic onslaught of ferocious bass, head cracking drums and infinitely complex rhythms. Taking influences from hip-hop, experimental, and dance genres, The Glitch Mob have crafted their own form of futuristic dance floor hip-hop that has been “slaying” audiences world wide. Their live sets reinvent the dj “tag-team” concept with four performers on stage at once, interacting like a jazz combo, each taking the lead at intuitive moments, interweaving their own sounds, and remixing everything on the fly.

SEXBEAT / Branchage viral series: part.3 Wax Fang – Visions

The 3rd installment of the SEXBEAT / Branchage viral series features Wax Fang and is directed by Bella Fenning. Bella’s work draws inspiration from memories and experiences, imagined and interpreted from childhood and dreams. This piece is a nostalgic foray through hazy eyes exploring said themes. Bella will be curating a season of films at the Rio cinema in Dalston in the coming months. Stay tuned to her SITE for more details.

SEXBEAT / Branchage viral

Installment no.2 of the SEXBEAT viral series with Branchage film festival is a collaboration between Tweak Bird and directors Fred Grace & Gemma Atkinson. Tweak Bird make a whole bunch of noise for a 2 piece band of brothers (siblings that is, not over blown US drama). Their set at the SEXBEAT – Stag & Dagger stage felt more like a guest pass to their practice room than a festival performance, as they engrossed the crowd in a 30 minute, riff heavy jam, sounding much more Kyuss than No Age.
