No Need To Shout + The Last Train Track Presents….

September 15, 2010 (8:00 pm - 1:00 am)

Forest Fires

Forest Fires – Live
Poppy And Friends – Live
Welcome Comitee – Live
Mouse Dear – Live
08.00 – 01.00 / Free Entry
Forest Fire, from Brooklyn NY, is a 4-piece indie/folk/rock band. The power trio became known for euphonic hard rock characterized by soaring melodies played over gut-wrenching metal riffs. They began building a broad range of tunes, adding vocals, but letting their instruments steer the creative process. “We refuse to cling too tightly to our hard rock roots,” says spokesman, primary songwriter and guitar player Evan Johnson. “We each have our own tastes in music from fusion and hip-hop to blues and jazz, which allows everyone to bring new ideas to the table.” Local Support from 3 of Bristols best!

Fear Of Fiction

September 17, 2010 (10:00 pm - 3:00 am)

Talons – Live
Nova Robotics – Live
Foxx Bandits – Live
10.00pm – 03.00am / £4/£3/£2
Dark. Cinematic. Explosive. They are Talons. Forging the explosive energy of hardcore, the subtleties of post-rock and the fractured song structures and complexities associated with math-rock, Talons possess a fascinating sense of urgency and drive, with a sound that both soothes and savages in equal measure.

Heartbreaker

September 18, 2010 (10:00 pm - 3:00 am)

Gallops – Live
David’s Lyre – Live
The Robot Disaster – Live
10.00pm – 03.00am / £4/£3/£2
Heartbreaker are proud to present a trio of the finest UK upcomers. Gallops make dancefloor-friendly digital math-rock, harnessing the jerky propulsion of Foals, the riffs-as-rhythm of Pivot and the synthy tomfoolery so beloved of Battles. David’s Lyre struts the kind of kalaidescopic future-pop that should make him a star, and former Bristol wunderkinds Robot Disaster proffer a bittersweet, chipper punk-disco that bounds like Two Door Cinema Club on too many E-numbers.
